The Walkmen: Lisbon

"Lisbon," the fifth album by The Walkmen, turns away from its critically acclaimed predecessor and finds the band exploring rock textures and minimal arrangements. Two years in the making, songer-songwriter Hamilton Leithauser says the band found new inspiration recording in Dallas, Texas, where they stripped down songs and placed soaring vocals above a range of rock feels. The result is an even bigger canvas for Leithauser’s already large voice.
