In the 10 years since Keith Reid, a founding member of the famed British group Procol Harum, moved to New York City, he has embarked on a new phase in his songwriting career. His latest recording, "The Common Thread," is a wonderful collaboration with a who’s who cast of New York area co-writers, singers and players who excel at sturdy, muscular rock that is heartfelt, clear-eyed and socially conscious.
