Andy Bey’s return to recording in the 90s surprised many critics, who were taken aback by his soft, soulful voice, sparkling piano and subtle arrangements. On "Tuesdays in Chinatown," Bey has ventured into new and notable territory, adding evocative covers of works by Milton Nascimento, Bix Beiderbecke and Sting. Simply put, Bey is one of the great male voices in jazz today.
